BARF feeding, own experience

I have heard about feeding with raw meat, vegetables and fruits some time ago. I did not pay attention to it, it seemed to me a bit strange. I was so called dry food breeder, having my own brand, feeding it for years and being happy. When my Simba came, it changed.

Before comming for my puppy Simba to Sweden  I was asked by Kicki, what I would like to get for dinner. I am vegetarian for years, but it is my personal thing and I do not bother with it anyone. So I just answered: whatever without meat, do not worry about me. But it made me ask which brand of dry food is my puppy eating? What shoud I get for her? The answer surprised me a lot: raw meat, we will give you some with you. I was laughing imaging me in the plane with puppy and raw meat.

Simba and her brothers and sisters were grown on raw food, looked strong in bones, typical puppies. Also most of the Wheatens I have met on my trip to Sweden were eating raw food, all were in excellent condition. I have got two rollers of something raw and went home. I was then searching and reading and ended in feeding BARF. I have also switched my almost 11 years old female Karla on BARF and she is in excellent condition, having 13 years now.

Now watching two years old Simba, how strong bones she has, how beautiful coat she has I am satisfied. Also watching my veteran lady Karla in her 13, she is in great condition.
